Shark Jumps Into Research Vessel

A nearly 10 foot long, half-ton Great White shark jumped out of the ocean and onto a Marine research vessel of the coast of South Africa. Team leader Dorien Schröder describes the incident aboard the Cheetah, after things had been silent for about five minutes before, after an hour of heavy shark activity:

"Next thing I know I hear a splash, and see a white shark breach out of the water from [the] side of the boat hovering, literally, over the crew member who was chumming [throwing food bait] on the port side,"
Schröder managed to pull the crew member out of the way before the front of the shark slammed onto the deck, while the remaining body and tail thrashed violently, damaging the ship, before it wedged itself between containers and the stern. It took a crane from another ship to finally remove the shark. In the mean time, Schröder poured water over the gills to keep it alive.  AMAZING! She's like a female Quint, but without the vendetta.

Okay, this is clearly not the video of the actually event. You can read more about it via The Guardian.
