Fly to space for $40,000/minute!

Earlier this month, Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic unveiled the designs for their new civilian and payload based space travel crafts; SpaceCraft II and WhiteKnight II. WhiteKnight II is the vehicle that will fly SpaceCraft II up to the appropriate height for launch through the atmosphere and into the Earth's orbit. Each flight will cost $200,000 (with a $20,000 deposit) for about 4-5 minutes in space. That's plenty of time to do zero grav. flips and leaps...and throw M&M's in the air...

...eh, I'd still do it. I'll drag all my savings to the Coinstar machine in like 2045, and I should be able to afford it.

Check out the video at their site. Flights could begin in 2009.
